Day Two....In Poo-Poo

well, after only two days of riding..........well, i suppose you could call it only one real day of serious riding.......yesterday was more or less, running from the po-po.........at any rate, the training camp is tough...and i am by far the weakest link on the team right now, based on today.........i was with the exception of Matt (the assistant director) the only person to get dropped twice.......

I liken this to me, right before we actually started our hard riding, having to take a dump.........i realized this when i tried to push a fart out.....and when a little choco-suprise tried to say hello, i knew the rest of the ride would not be fun..........

I also liken it to, not riding for a week and a half........well, a little bit more than that......i only got in a solid 8 hours in probably 3 weeks, prior to this camp.......

not smart at all.......im an idiot.......oh well, this will be used as a launching pad into some serious training before the season.......

I hope all is well in Joke-lahoma...........cause its pretty good down hurrr in Texass...

First day of Training Camp.....

.....today, the whole team almost died....

not really, but some dumb-arse desided he couldnt go around us for what must have seemed like....to him, an eternity.....He came around us with such conviction and vocabulary that he nearly hit the front two riders in our group.....

.....Needless to say those two just so happened to be our youngest team members, and one of them has like a ga-zillion national championships....
Our fearless team manager, Nathan Rogut, chased (sort of) the Negative Nancy down and punched his far rear driver side window out......or at least a good sized hole in it......
Bear in mind this macho-man wasnt driving some little Ford Tempo...No...he was driving a larger than life Suburban.....a big stupid SUV....

Anyways, I was right behind the youngsters and they didnt flinch or anything......I was scurred shitless, so I waved when this, smart......wise....man drove around us the first time, blaaaaaring his horn....but when, he pulled up beside us, yelling expilitives.....i turned my head and cried....not really, but he was stupid....and about that time Nathan yelled at him to stop the car, and when the dude didnt stop but intsead sped away, Nathan hit the back window, putting a hole in the God-foresaken vehicle.....the cops, came and pretty much nothing happened....we rode around for awhile.....anywho...thats pretty much how today went.......................

Other than the 'attempt' at a ride this morning....

Funeral; Gwar; Riding

Well, I've done one whole week on my Time Trial bike....Its a Cervelo Dual with Ultegra on it...Its a pretty good bike, but anyway I've been riding it to get used to it before the first stage race in February....Thus far the bike ain't that comfortable...My arms and back start to kill me and I cant go full tilt for more than 20 minutes...which I mean most of the time trials that I will be doing arent much longer than that, but I feel if I can get more comfortable on the bike then I can go faster....Needless to say I will be riding the bike straight up until the team camp in December.....

Well Dr. Steve Edstrom died a few days ago, and his funeral was held today at a Methodist Church in downtown Oklahoma City..I cant remember the name.....It was very nice and a lot of people came out to show their love to Dr. Steve....A few of us rode from Schlegels to the church which was just a few blocks north of the shop.....Most of the guests wore bike jerseys and slacks to show there appreciation to the late Dr.
